NettyCheck ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect any personal data.

NettyCheck does not:

• Collect personal information
• Log your activity or browsing history
• Track your usage patterns
• Share any information with third parties
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Store any data on our servers

Local Data Storage

All VPN server configurations, passwords, and encryption keys are stored locally on your device only in encrypted form using iOS Keychain.

This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is protected by iOS encryption
• Is not accessible to us or any third parties
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the app

Network Functionality

NettyCheck is a network utility tool for IT diagnostics and analysis. It does not operate any servers or intercept network traffic on your device.

Any network data accessed or tested by NettyCheck remains on your device and is not collected, logged, or transmitted to us or any third parties.

VPN / Secure Tunnel

NettyCheck includes a built-in VPN client that uses Apple's NetworkExtension framework. The app does not provide, operate, sell, or share any VPN or proxy servers. Users must supply their own server address, port, and credentials for servers they own or are authorized to use.

All VPN configuration data (server details, credentials, and encryption keys) is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third parties.

Third-Party Services

Some diagnostic features of NettyCheck send requests to public third-party services to perform their function. These requests contain only the technical data necessary for the specific query (such as a domain name, IP address, or URL).

The following external services may be contacted by specific features:

• DNS Leak Test: Used by the Leak Test feature to verify DNS and IP exposure. The service processes requests anonymously and does not require authentication.
• RDAP / ICANN Lookup: Used by the WHOIS Lookup feature to retrieve public domain registration data. ICANN does not retain or store data associated with RDAP queries.
• Public IP Address APIs (e.g., ipify): Used by the Network Info and Leak Test features to determine your public IP address. These APIs do not log visitor information.
• Public DNS Resolvers: Used by the DNS Lookup feature to resolve domain names. These resolvers are operated by third parties and subject to their own privacy policies.

Important: We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their data practices. All requests are made directly from your device for the sole purpose of performing the requested diagnostic function. No data is transmitted to our servers, and we do not have access to the results of these queries.

Purchases

NettyCheck is a paid application. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to all purchase and payment data.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The app is rated 16+ due to unrestricted web access capabilities.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
